Is Continuous Transformation the new norm?
When I started in project management “Run the business” (Operations) and “Change the business” (Projects) were considered as very separate sides of the same coin.
Operations were central and the primary revenue-generating function and projects were viewed as separate, distinct entities simply used to nudge the business forward only when required.
Listening to Andy Jordan speak recently he nailed the current paradigm shift by saying…..
“Projects are now becoming the norm, as organisations are transforming continuously. You don’t suddenly go through a business transformation and keep the business as stable as possible for five years before going through another revolutionary change initiative. You tweak the business every month, every week, every day, and every hour”
“We are moving that way where projects drive everything and transformation is continuous” – Andy Jordan
Do you think we have reached the tipping point of projectification?
